A slow, green Texas summer.

We spend our days beside the pool, our nights in the fields and on back porches. We sip on tea and soda, talk quietly, and jump on trampolines. We do not bother with makeup; we eat when we get hungry, we work when we have to, we cry if we need to, we drink when we feel like it, and we smile all the time.

I am trying to fix past relationships, I am trying to make my mother happy, I am doing all that I can to help my father. I don't believe in hate. I am in love with a boy who cannot love me back, but he believes he does, and for now that is fine.

It's a good, slow, Green, happy, flowing, lazy, exciting, boring, Texas summer.
